Yazda is a US-based, 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, established to support the Yazidi ethno-religious minority group in the United States and the Yazidi homeland in northern Iraq and northeastern Syria. Yazda’s mission is to support the Yazidi community in the aftermath of the August 2014 genocide, committed by the so-called “Islamic State”, that resulted in the death of three to five thousand civilians; abduction of five to seven thousand, mostly woman and children; and the displacement of 400,000 people from the Yazidi homelands in Sinjar, the Nineveh plain, and Syria.


Uncommon Union is a communications and media firm supporting leaders with the courage to drive change. Uncommon Union builds public relations, partnerships, social media, campaign services, creative, web and mobile development.



The Watchers of the Sky Initiative develops and supports genocide prevention programs, education and advocacy campaigns.   Through collaborative partnerships, the Initiative seeks to create an understanding of how individuals, communities and institutions can impact change and become the voice for the forgotten faces of injustice.   The Initiative seeks to build a global community of ‘watchers’.

What is a Watcher of the Sky?
(WoTS) is an individual who recognizes the moral imperative of ending cycles of violence and/or works to improve the quality of life for forgotten populations.


The Global Citizen platform was created by the Global Poverty Project, Ryan Gall and Riot House in 2012. Global Citizen works in partnership with and supports some of the most effective organisations taking action to end poverty and improving the planet.


The Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect is an international non-governmental organization that conducts research and advocacy on mass atrocity prevention in support of the international norm of the Responsibility to Protect.


Moreno Ocampo Consulting (MOC) is a boutique global consulting firm focused on developing strategies to manage difficult problems with international dimensions. Luis Moreno Ocampo, the first Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, is offering his unique expertise in managing conflicts at the global and national levels. He is supported by a small team of brilliant young professionals to work for good clients, on good cases, and with good partners.


Forensic Architecture is a research agency based at Goldsmiths, University of London.  It includes a team of architects, scholars, filmmakers, designers, lawyers and scientists to undertake research that gathers and presents spatial analysis in legal and political forums.


EIHR develops partnerships with teachers in countries recovering from conflict to provide training in the best practices on Holocaust, human rights, and genocide prevention education.  By staging teacher conferences in these areas, it  is hope that our teacher participants will in turn inspire their students to make a difference in their own communities, changing the world one classroom at a time.


The Budapest Centre is the operational body of the Foundation for the International Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities. It is a non-governmental international entity with unique technical and political expertise in the fields of conflict prevention, human rights, international and humanitarian law. Its staff is comprised of international experts, researchers, international lawyers, analysts, mediators and diplomats able to provide the Centre with the necessary knowledge and experience to reach its goals and objectives.
